My beginners course to Yoga with Alyssa was incredibly relaxing to my body and mind. Every day I went to class I could feel the tension in my body gently ease away as the class progressed. Many of the poses I learned have become part of my morning ritual before starting my day, and help me go to sleep after a rough day chasing my 3 small children. I have especially appreciated learning about deep breathing. Nothing calms me down, and eases the tension in my shoulders faster than several calming deep breaths.

I found the experience to be very enjoyable and beneficial. It has made me want to do more yoga, I am even going on a trip this year that is a combo rock climbing and yoga!

Alyssa is a very caring and results oriented yoga teacher. When teaching me private yoga sessions she made sure to cover all my requests and even was able to cover my unspoken requests! Taking Yoga from Alyssa was a rewarding experience. The best part was that she was more than willing to alter things for me as needed. I was pregnant while taking her class. I always felt refreshed and flexible after class. Physically and mentally. Even on the most stressful days. Alyssa was able to teach me breathing techniques that I was able to apply to hypno-birthing when having my baby. I did eventually end up having a c-section because my baby was too big, but the breathing techniques did get me through the majority of my labor.
I also liked how Alyssa was able to offer different methods for people at different stages (advanced vs. beginner). She also has a wonderful, earthly presence that is ideal for yoga.

These sessions are unlike any yoga session I have attended: Welcomed with a very well incorporated intent to teach every individual in every class a deeper understanding and foundation of Yoga. Alyssa does a beautiful job in relating Yoga to your everyday life, explaining why you do what you do (what is working?) walking through the benefits of yoga for the body ….. to walking the group through how to hold each position correctly without harming the body…, as well as why you love this new found direction in life as you do…… this has helped me to relate why opening my body through yoga is so important to who I am in reaching a goal I have to be as healthy as I possibly can be.
Thank you for Tailoring movements & positions to each individual throughout the sessions, utilizing props and objects from our everyday surroundings to aid in adjusting to individual levels. This has helped me to adapt to understanding my bodies capabilities comfortably. I also appreciate you taking a portion of each class a step further to provide meditations for each to take in and apply to what may be going on in their daily lives.

I have never had yoga before and it amazed me that not only I was able to accomplish must of the routine, but my body felt totally different just after the first day. I remembered being so relaxed at the first session that I actually felt asleep. Alyssa is an amazing instructor. She really kept me focus and gave me the confidence to do the routine even though it was my first time doing yoga. Because of that wonderful experience, I plan on taking more yoga classes.
